Esporotricose: O Que Você Precisa Saber

PannaDana helps organizations and individuals maximize donations and advocacy impact in Brazil and abroad through research, education and consulting.

We are supporters of effective altruism, in which the goal is to use evidence and reason to discover how to benefit other living beings as much as possible, and to take actions and decisions based on that.

Our analysis and recommendations are based on the following principles:

Scope sensitivity: We are committed to the idea that saving ten lives is more important than saving one, and saving a million lives is far more important than saving ten.

Tradeoffs: Because time and money are limited resources we recognize the need to prioritize different ways to improve the world and the lives of those who inhabit it.

Focus on evidence: We can better help others if we think clearly and orient ourselves to finding the truth as it is, based on evidence, rather than trying to defend or confirm our own ideas, concepts and dogmas.

Impartiality: We strive to help those who need it most without giving more weight to those who are similar to us or live near us.

Thinking on the Margin: If we donate $1, our goal is to give that $1 to the intervention that will make the best use of an extra $1, which may not be the most cost-effective intervention on average. This is important because most interventions have diminishing returns.
